Getting to Granada

 

Flying directly to Granada:

Granada airport is 12 km from the city center. There is a bus (around 3€) that takes you to the center of Granada. Taxis from the city center to your hotel will cost  5-10 €. Taxis from the airport cost about 30 €.

 

Flying to Málaga airport:

Málaga is the international airport nearest to Granada. It takes about 90 minutes to get from Málaga to Granada by road.

A shuttle bus (Line A) connects Málaga Airport with Málaga bus station. The journey takes 20-25' and tickets cost 2€. The bus stop is on the arrivals forecourt of Terminal 3. Buses run every 30', from 7:00 to 24:00.

You can also take bus 19 (every 30', 7:00am to 24:00pm, ticket 1 €) or a train (2 €) from the airport to Málaga bus station. There is also a train service from the airport to María Zambrano train station, which is close to Málaga bus station (every 30', 6:36am to 23:26 pm, ticket 1 €).

There is a bus every hour from Málaga to Granada from 7:00am until 21:00pm. The price is about 10 €. It takes about 1:45 h. It is possible to buy bus tickets online on www.alsa.es

If you wish to hire a car from Málaga, most companies have pick-up and drop-off points both at Granada airport and in the centre of Granada. Prices range from 36 € to over 100 €.

 

​Getting to Granada by bus:

You may check schedules from Madrid or other major cities on www.alsa.es. Granada bus station is not close to the center, so you'd better take a taxi to get to your hotel (average fare 5-10€, depending on the particular location) .

 

Getting to Granada by train:

RENFE is the Spanish railway network. To buy tickets online and check train availability and timetables visit www.renfe.es. The train station is located right in the city center.
